Great ideas are everywhere, so should great innovationsGiving the crowd influence over innovation

Venture Capital 2.0

Discovering and establishing a pipeline where all investors have access and exposure to some of the greatest IP is crucial to democratizing venture capital while protecting the interests of scientists and entrepreneurs who are changing the future of humanity through deeptech. The venture capital system is parasitic, the system needs a revolution, the system needs democracy. Developing a sustainable solution to free and open venture capital for everyone. Serving humanity by investing in artificial intelligence the right way.

DEEP KNOWLEDGE VENTURES

We are a London-based VC firm specializing in early-stage DeepTech companies with high disruptive potential, with a current focus on AI, blockchain, fintech, IoT, precision medicine and longevity.

SMART INVESTMENTS

Unlike most traditional VC firms, which hedge their bets among many different companies in the hopes that a select few will be unicorns, we operate according to the principal of smart investment, seeking returns from the majority of our portfolio companies rather than enormous returns from a select few of them. Through advanced, big-data and deep learning-driven analytics, workflow automation and streamlined fund management across multiple levels of organization, DKV is pioneering a new approach to smart investment, investing in a new breed of infrastructural intelligence that money simply can’t buy, allowing us to outperform much larger traditional VC firms in the long run. By investing substantial resources into analytics and forecasting of broad technological sectors in AI, spacetech, robotics, nanotech, drug development and biotech, we have mapped an extremely long-term technological landscape that allows us to invest right before the inflection point of a technology or sector’s growth curve, and to pivot our focus on a very long-term basis. Unlike any other VC fund, we invest an equal amount of manpower and resources into long-term scientific and technological forecasting as we do into present-day industry analytics. While traditional VC has it’s eye toward short-term returns, DKV has set its sights squarely upon the future, with one eye on the side-mirror, with the majority of our investments aimed at large long-term returns while making just enough investments aiming at shorter-term returns in order to sustain our internal growth and incentivize our LPs.

What is Liquid VC?

LiquidVC is a blockchain network that allows accredited investors to buy into individual, pre-approved technology startups, and also sell their stake to other accredited investors on the LiquidVC platform. Our platform facilitates direct investment in startups by accredited investors and enables accredited investors can sell company stakes to one another, thereby creating a liquid market for stakes in early stage companies. In return, LiquidVC takes a small management fee and a sale commission.

Traditional VC Model

Limited partners invest money with venture capital fund to invest in companies. VC firm returns high returns to limited partners and accepts a 2/20 management fee (2% mgmt fee; 20% carry).

Liquid VC’s Model

Accredited investors invest in companies sourced, verified, and advised, by LiquidVC, and each accredited investor has the option to list stake, on an open exchange where it can be sold to other accredited investors.

Deep Knowledge Life Sciences

Objective:

The impact on the longevity industry is not a business, it is a mission. In the case of success it should achieve not only profit but tangible change. DKLS has always prioritised the paradigm shifting companies over other more initially profitable businesses.

Brief Description:

Deep Knowledge Life Sciences is a venture fund focused on regenerative medicine and biotech companies that address age-related disease. We aim to help solve major global challenges related to demographic aging, the rise of age-related disease, and strive to integrate artificial intelligence with the deluge of biomedical data. We strategically invest in mission-driven companies and support founders who will bridge the unaddressed translational gap between basic biological research and real-world healthcare products that extend healthy lifespan. We invest in and guide early-stage ventures with disruptive potential in healthcare. We are not interested in incremental advancement — we embrace a warp-speed pace of development with a long time-horizon, and as a mission-driven firm we seek to maximize positive impact on the global healthcare system rather than merely short-term returns.
